Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation and corporate accounting, with a strong understanding of estate, state, and trust tax matters. This role requires a thorough knowledge of preparing tax returns, international tax exposure, and experience working with K-1s. The Senior Tax Accountant will work on a hybrid schedule, providing flexibility while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals, corporations, estates, and trusts, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Manage corporate accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Handle international tax issues and provide support for clients with cross-border operations.
Prepare K-1s and oversee the tax requirements for estates and trusts.
Conduct tax research using Checkpoint and CCC software to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
Assist with light travel needs for client meetings, as necessary.
Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Stay updated on current tax laws and industry trends.
Qualifications: Experience: 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation and corporate accounting.
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks.
Familiarity with tax research tools such as Checkpoint.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations concerning estates, trusts, and international transactions.
Ability to prepare and review K-1s without supervision.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
