Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated O&M Manuals & Training Manager who thrives in a rapidly changing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a group of experienced writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation, arrange training courses, and ensure proper interface management between the Design and Build team and the O&M team.
The position is based in Pistoia - IT.
Accountabilities: Manage a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation;Ensure timely provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budget;Prepare and deliver Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan;Prepare Technical specifications for subcontractor's manuals and training courses;Ensure Technical Writers effectively prioritize high-priority feature release work with other content, experience, and process improvements.Develop an understanding of how customers use the manuals and what content needs are helpful. Review and implement customer feedback.Identify opportunities for process improvement, including new editor software, and coordinate the implementation and communication of these changes.Review operation and maintenance manuals delivered by subcontractors;Participate in projects, bidding, and delivery phases within project schedule.Required Skills/Knowledge: IntegrityTwo to five years' experience as a project manager or people manager with a technical documentation team.Minimum 3 years' railway system engineering experience and knowledge of the integrated systems that comprise a metro system;Ability to develop a working knowledge of technical products, processes, applications.Ability to learn new technical skills quickly.Knowledge and experience in application of railway Technical-Logistic support documentation, associated with any technical system, either rolling stock and/or a rail vehicle.International experience and ability to manage international projects.Knowledge and ability to review maintenance documentation from sub-suppliers;Techniques and ways to handle the relationship with a supplier in an integrated supply chain approach;Willing to cover a global role.Person who is easy to work with.Negotiation Skills.Leadership Skills.Experience in modern Lean and Agile Organization.Desired Skills/Knowledge: Operation and Maintenance ProcessesRAMS and Maintenance Plan processPlanning and organizationExperience in editing software programsEducation / Qualifications:
