Job Summary
Manage a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation. Ensure on-time provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budget. Ensure preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan.
Accountabilities: Manage a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentationEnsure on-time provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budgetEnsure preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program PlanEnsure the preparation of Technical specifications for subcontractor's manuals and training coursesEnsure Technical Writers internal teams effectively prioritize high-priority feature release work with other content, experience, and process improvementsDevelop an understanding of how our customers use the manuals and what content needs are helpfulReview and implement customer feedbackIdentify opportunities for process improvement, including new editor software, and coordinate the implementation and communication of these changesEnsure the review of operation and maintenance manuals delivered by the subcontractorsParticipate in projects, bidding, and delivery phases within project schedule Required Skills/Knowledge: Pioneering SpiritIntegrity2-5 years' experience as a project manager or people manager with a technical documentation teamMinimum 3 years' railway system engineering experience and knowledge of the integrated systems that comprise a metro systemAbility to develop a working knowledge of technical products, processes, and applicationsAbility to learn new technical skills quicklyKnowledge and experience in application of the railway Technical-Logistic support documentation, associated with any technical system, either rolling stock and/or a rail vehicleInternational experience and ability to manage international projectsKnowledge and ability to review maintenance documentation from sub-suppliersTechniques and ways to handle the relationship with a supplier in an integrated supply chain approachWilling to cover a global roleExcellent communication skillsPerson who is easy to work withNegotiation SkillsLeadership SkillsExperience in modern Lean and Agile Organization Desired Skills/Knowledge: Operation and Maintenance ProcessesRAMS and Maintenance Plan processPlanning and organizationExperience in editing software programs Education/Qualifications: Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering Languages: English Proficiency Equal Opportunity Employer: Hitachi Rail is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
