**Areas of Responsibility**:
- will be responsible for running internal CFD wind flow modelling, statistical models to produce long-term wind energy production estimations, managing external third-party independent production estimates
- strictly working with the Engineering Layout Dept.
will provide the input to develop optimal layouts and to manage all wind resource measuring equipment, including installation of new equipment and maintenance of existing one
**Key functions**:
- Plan and define the appropriate measurement campaign at prospective sites to ensure the reliability of the production estimate
- Collect, filter, quality control and analyze available data in order to understand climate conditions at every site and estimate the long-term energy production
- Perform resource assessment and geospatial analysis using software and other industry-standard tools to identify turbine locations with maximum energy output, factoring in all project setbacks & constraints
- Assess the site suitability with respect to wind turbine selection
- Perform uncertainty analysis in order to assess risk
- Provide support in power curve verification
- Take part on TDD (pre-construction and post-construction assessments)
**Studies**:
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Energy), Physics (fluid dynamics).
**Work Experience**:
At least 2 years of experience in resource analysis of wind energy projects.
**Languages**:
Bilingual in English and an additional European language (German or French is a plus).
**IT Skills**:
- Deep knowledge of MS Office Applications
- Wind flow modelling and expert in using relevant software, such as WindSim, WindPro, and wind data processing softwares (i.e.
Windographer, GlobalMapper, etc.
)
