Description of the research activity: This research project focuses on time series data management and analysis, which are generated at an unprecedented speed and amount in nearly all sectors, including IoT, Industry 4.0, precision agriculture, finance, and medicine.
Responsibilities include:
Data cleaning and pre-processing to eliminate noise and improve data quality.
Basic similarity search.
Advanced analysis tasks such as classification, motif discovery, correlation analysis, and prediction.
Indexing time series in databases.
The developed solutions will be experimentally evaluated using synthetic and real-world data from collaborating partners in agriculture, water distribution, and manufacturing.
