Job DescriptionIRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Research Assistant/Lab Technician to join the Vector Engineering and In Vivo Tumor Targeting Unit, led by Mario Leonardo Squadrito, at the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget). Our team focuses on designing and applying innovative genetic tools for the in vivo delivery of therapeutic payloads to tumors. Our research encompasses the identification of key cellular populations and actionable targets in tumors, as well as the development and deployment of cutting-edge genetic tools to modulate these targets.
We primarily base our platforms on lentiviral vectors, which are engineered to incorporate key molecular components that enhance their versatility and therapeutic efficacy. Additionally, we utilize advanced technologies -including single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, multicolor flow cytometry, confocal immunofluorescence, and sophisticated tumor mouse models- to comprehensively evaluate the impact of our therapies.
Main Activities:Prioritize and execute technical and biomedical research experiments efficiently.Prepare and analyze samples for single-cell omics, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry.Handle in vivo tumor mouse models.Produce and utilize gene-based technologies.Who We Are Looking For:Master's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.Prior experience in biomedical/molecular research.Proficiency in microscopy, flow cytometry, cell culture, molecular biology, and animal handling.Good communication skills in English.(Optional) PhD qualification.Work Details:Type of contract: Competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
