LHH supports a multinational company operating in the contract services sector in the search for a Reporting & Consolidation Expert.
Responsibilities The main areas of responsibility can be generically referred to these activities: Preparing the consolidated financial statements of the Group within Italy in accordance with group accounting standards.
Reviewing Group monthly reporting from the various subsidiaries with the support of our Group ERP (SAP), ensuring correctness and reliability of accounting data.
Preparing additional disclosures for statutory group reporting Performing various reconciliation regarding both P& L and BS for M/E closing and reporting purposes.
Coordinating the accounting team of the subsidiaries to ensure that the reporting package is delivered in a timely manner and meet all financial reporting requirements.
Proactively supporting local finance teams during the monthly close process to ensure actual submissions are completed on a timely basis.
Leading the intercompany and elimination processes for the group (relating to the P& L and balance sheet, including equity pick-up).
Coordinating and coaching colleagues, e.g., in preparing intercompany reconciliations and managing intercompany transactions.
Supporting the Controlling teams and the business Unit Managers in the budgeting process (e.g., calculation of IFRS adjustments & other accounting impacts).
Leading the corporate calendar maintenance and tracking local and global adherence to timelines.
Maintaining of the legal hierarchies, account structure and other metrics/ dimensions of the data model within the consolidation and reporting system to accommodate management needs and external reporting requirements.
Analyzing data included in the financial statements and related variance analysis.
Supporting external auditors in their audit activities.
Supporting subsidiary compliance with adoption of accounting policies and post-acquisition accounting adjustments (acquisition, merger, restructuring) within the scope of the job.
Your Profile Applicants with the following requirements will be considered: Degree in Economics Some years work experience in financial reporting and consolidation in international context Perfect understanding of IFRS rules Experience with consolidation tools (BFC is a plus) and appetence for IT tools.
Client oriented, autonomous, proactive and pragmatic Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work on different tasks concurrently, often with tight deadlines.
Act independently to try to solve problems, makes proposals.
Professional English is a must (French or German is a plus.
Location: Milan Salary Package: 60.000€ - 70.000€.
