Renewables Ppa Origination Manager

As a key member of the team, your role will be to position my client as the preferred PPA and cPPA business in Italy.
You will be responsible for originating and negotiating long-term and short-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) as well as other necessary agreements for the commercialization of power from assets under development across Southern Europe.
Key Responsibilities: Identify and secure offtake agreements for PPAs and related contracts, ensuring the successful commercialization of my client's energy network in Southern Europe.
Manage and nurture relationships with local consultants supporting PPA activities, overseeing their scope of work to align with my client's strategic goals.
Coordinate closely with project finance, development, management, and technical teams to ensure contract terms are fully aligned with project schedules, costs, and risk profiles.
Prepare and manage tender processes, including RFPs and RFIs, for my client's project pipeline, engaging with various counterparties to secure optimal agreements.
Lead RfP processes from offtakers for solar projects in selected key countries, managing these processes to successful outcomes.
Support internal evaluations of commercial offers received, and contribute to the development of competitive offers for utilities, traders, and industrial customers.
Assist in shaping the overall commercial strategy related to power offtake within my client's asset portfolio.
Develop and implement strategies for securing offtake in Southern European countries of operation, with an initial focus on Italy and neighboring regions.
Candidate Profile: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in finance, legal, engineering, business, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy, with a strong track record in closing offtake agreements.
Established network within key energy sectors in Southern Europe, and familiarity with local private tender processes.
Deep understanding of large-scale renewable energy projects, including project and corporate structures.
In-depth knowledge of one or more Southern European energy markets, specifically regarding offtake opportunities.
Experience in structured project finance, with an understanding of the concerns of equity and debt providers related to PPA terms.
Attention to detail while maintaining a strategic perspective.
