MISSION As a Project Developer at Zelestra, your primary mission is to drive the development and execution of renewable energy projects by identifying opportunities that align with the company's growth and sustainability objectives. You will lead projects through all stages, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring strategic alignment and regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES Management and contact with all entities and Public Administrations for obtaining all permits until the project reaches "Ready to Build" status. Oversee environmental processes, coordinating with consultants and ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations and project-specific requirements. Management and negotiation of agreements with landowners. Contracting and management of bids with external engineering and environmental consultancies and definition of the scope and deadline for delivery of the documentation. Coordinate closely with internal teams, including engineering and construction departments, legal and administrative departments to ensure cohesive integration of project objectives and overall business strategy. Ensure efficient management of communications, documentation, and data exchange across Zelestra's competence centers and Italian offices. Management and negotiation of co-development agreements and project follow-up. Support in the "Due Diligence" phase of acquisition operations. Lead technical and environmental assessments, ensuring comprehensive analysis and risk mitigation for project viability. Assist in managing all aspects of project development, including scheduling, budgeting, cash flow management, and the preparation of detailed reports for stakeholders. JOB REQUIREMENTS A degree in engineering, environmental sciences, business administration, or a related field, with a preference for advanced qualifications in renewable energy or project management. Senior professional with more than 5 years of experience in the management of the processing and development of PV/BESS/Wind projects in Italy, business development, financial analysis or related field in the renewable energy sector. High level of Excel, MS Office. Autocad will be a plus. Extensive Industry Knowledge: A thorough understanding of Italy's renewable energy sector, including regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and market dynamics. Familiarity with energy operators like Enel and Terna, as well as experience in grid connection processes, is welcome. Project Development Expertise: Proven experience in leading renewable energy projects, particularly in greenfield developments, from early-stage design through to construction. Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, environmental, and construction consultants. Technical and Environmental Acumen: Solid technical understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, BESS, wind, etc.) combined with a strong grasp of environmental assessments and regulatory compliance to ensure sustainable project delivery. Business Development Skills: Strategic mindset with the ability to manage project budgets, cash flows, and financial reporting is critical. The candidate should be adept at assessing project financial viability, mitigating risks, and optimizing project costs to maximize return on investment. Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, network operators, cross-functional teams, and external consultants.
