Reliability Validation Engineer

The company are developing a diverse portfolio of propulsion solutions for our modern luxury passenger cars.
With increasing focus on emissions and sustainability in addition to continually improving performance, durability and reliability attributes, these propulsion solutions are the most challenging we have delivered.
As a Reliability Validation Engineer in powertrain you will be responsible for deploying our Reliability Validation process on new propulsion systems.
You will enhance our validation testing creating and developing efficient tests tailored to excite specific mechanisms of failure for new cutting-edge automotive technology.
This role will focus on the operational deployment of the company reliability process, supporting commodity engineering teams to develop substantiated validation test programmes and support component and system reliability demonstration.
The role will include Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) tools, Design Verification test development and ensuring reliability growth is being monitored and reported for all current programmes to ensure a reliable high-quality product is delivered to our customers.
To be successful in this role it is essential to have: - a strong background in product development - experience of component / system design and validation - understanding of quality tools and in particular failure mode avoidance methods and principles is advantageous.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with great interpersonal and communication skills with an aspiration to grow personally and technically.
You will also be encouraged to share knowledge and have a motivation to teach and develop others.
The role requires both a technically curious and short term pragmatic approach the ideal candidate will have a desire for personal and shared in depth understanding but also be able to focus on short term delivery priorities.
You will be dependable and develop strong relationships with internal customers.
