As a Regional Training Manager supporting our Vision Care team, you will be trusted to work on enhancing and developing sales performance in the Italian You will work home office based in Milan, with much travel in the field and regular visits to our offices in Italy.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Conduct Training Programs:
- Design and deliver training programs to enhance sales performance for the entire VC (Vision Care) & DEOH (Dry Eye Ocular Health) product portfolio.- Develop engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, and other relevant resources.- Ensure training programs align with the company's strategic goals and market trends.- Incorporate adult learning principles and interactive techniques to maximise engagement and knowledge retention.- Provide In-Market Support:
- Travel to various locations within the assigned territory to provide in-market support and guidance to field staff.-
- Identify and address specific training needs and challenges the field team faces, tailoring support accordingly.- Coach Field Sales Managers:
- Collaborate with Field Sales Managers to enhance their sales management and selling skills.- Provide one-on-one coaching sessions and conduct performance assessments.- Develop individualised development plans to improve managerial effectiveness and drive results.- Monitor Performance and Progress:
- Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales performance.- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust content and delivery methods as needed.- Prepare reports and presentations on training outcomes and progress to stakeholders.- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with team members and other departments, including Marketing and Product Development, to ensure training materials are updated with the latest product information and industry trends.- Share best practices and collaborate with training specialists from other regions to leverage knowledge and resources.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Optometry.- A Degree in Management or a First Line management experience is desirable- Fluency in German and English is a must- Familiarity with vision care products and the optometry industry is highly desirable- Proven experience in training and development, preferably within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device industry- Strong knowledge of sales processes, selling skills, and territory management techniques- Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills- Ability to adapt training content and delivery methods to diverse audiences- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently
