Job Description: EMEAI Region EHS Leader Position Summary: Pentair is currently seeking a Regional EHS Leader based in Italy to manage all aspects of safety, occupational health and environmental compliance and sustainability for the Region. In this role, the Regional EHS Leader will work closely with all functional areas, Regional EHS and Corporate EHS to ensure that all parties understand compliance requirements and to ensure they are maintained. This position will engage all employees and effectively lead in a behavior based safety approach to maximize employee safety and drive personal accountability. Effectiveness in this position will require creative leadership of non-subordinate employees working with and through them to maintain facility compliance, and drive behavioral and sustainable results.

Duties and Responsibilities: Provides leadership in developing, implementing and managing EHS policies, procedures, programs and practices at Regional level. Individual will have proven success in a self-managed, strategic role. Aligns with Regional leadership to ensure effective implementation of Pentair EHS standards through business. Individual will be a strong change agent with proven success in driving strong, sustained EHS improvement. Individual will partner directly with VP of operations for EMEA region and Global EHS Director to drive EHS excellence through regional enterprise. Responsible for all EHS compliance with company, local, country and regional requirements. This will include and it is not limited to; developing schedules, preparing permit applications and submissions, including providing documentation to demonstrate compliance with all company and agency requirements. Partners with corporate and SBU EHS leaders to ensure consistent leadership and messaging in a matrixed organization. Conducts compliance reviews and risk assessments in partnership with site leadership ensuring strategic prioritization in the region, with special emphasis on machine guarding and ergonomics. Deploys Level 1 EHS standards to all sites of responsibility. Partner with SBU EHS to develop Level 2 EHS programs to comply with corporate standards and align with SBU processes. Ensures site EHS KPIs are reported, tracked and managed. Facilitate KPI and RCCM review for Regional facilities with accountability for excellence in root cause-countermeasure activities. Accurately assesses enterprise risk and develop/deploy effective solutions to mitigate EHS risk to business, employees and communities. This will include manufacturing facilities, distribution/warehouses, and field service activities. Knows and has proven experience in risk assessing and implementing the T.U. law 81/2008. Coaches and develops site EHS professionals. Partners with Environmental Manager to facilitate Regional sustainability program. Partner with sites to develop Energy Treasure Hunt and ZeroWaste activities and appropriate solutions. Partners with HR to ensure proper development and deployment of programs such as drug free workplace, workplace violence, workers compensation, wellness and other shared programs. Identifies and implements prior injury and significant event solutions at facilities with similar opportunities to prevent recurrence. Candidate will have proven history of injury reduction results. Partners with site resources to provide hands on injury prevention support to sites without professional safety resources (direct accountability). Leads key EHS initiatives with local, SBU, Corporate partners that can be deployed as corporate standard. Identifies/develops and deploys world class EHS tools and solutions to continually remove waste and improve EHS maturity throughout Region. Skills and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing with multi-site or regional EHS experience mandatory. Strong ergonomics experience highly desired. Strong distribution/warehousing EHS experience highly desired. Experience leading a large facility (500+) desired. Demonstrated ability to manage through others, facilitation and leadership experience. Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, and speaking), ability to influence. Ability to analyze, problem solve, and make decisions. Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory documents, then translate for others to understand. Ability to actively participate in team development, team-oriented processes, and motivate others to do the same. Strong aptitude for organization, self-management prioritization, and managing multiple tasks at the same time. Experience in waste reduction/minimization or zero-waste-to-landfill strategies is strongly desired. Strong ethics, values and a passion to preserve human life and the environment. LEAN methods, approach and culture knowledge. Fluent English and Italian are mandatory, German is a plus. Location: Italy
