DutiesYou will oversee implementation of installation Improvement Plans (IPs) based upon exercise results.You will develop, coordinate, implement, track and report execution of critical training plans and events identified in the CNIC Shore Response Training Plan (SRTP), Navy Warfare Training System (NWTS), and CNIC instructionsYou will assist the Deputy RPD in designing Region and installations' annual and long-range training plans to ensure their execution, administration and documentation is coordinated and in accordance with published CNIC requirements.You will prepare Region training impact and policy statements.You will coordinate Region and installation level working groups to plan, execute, and assess integrated exercise events to measure mission readiness of the staff.You will evaluate Installation Training Team (ITT) performance metrics and analysis tools utilized in assessing the success of program specific training and program performance.You will perform gap analyses in Region and installation exercise programs.You will oversee development and dissemination of improvement plans to resolve training deficiencies and gaps identified during assessments.You will assist the Region Program Director (RPD) in coordinating integrated exercises to validate the mission readiness (i.e. Airfield Operations Port Operations, Force Protection, Fire, Emergency Management, etc.) for nine installations.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Assisting in the design, development, and execution of major multi-service and interagency training exercises and assessments; 2) Measuring performance levels for training events or exercises; 3) Identifying gaps in Installation Exercise programs in order to correct issues; 4) Assisting installations in developing post-exercise improvement plans to ensure continual personnel and system improvement; 5) Applying conventional fact-finding and problem solving methods to identify deficiencies, draw conclusions and recommend appropriate corrective actions/solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of significant regional programs; 6) Applying a wide range of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to the assessment of operational training and readiness events; and 7) Developing project papers and staff reports for key leadership and managers to improve understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations of operational training program improvements. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is essentially administrative in nature, although some light physical effort may be required. Occasional overtime, weekend and late night work periods may be required to ensure time accomplishment of the Regional staff mission. When assessing exercises, the incumbent may be required to stand for long periods and may be exposed to extreme weather conditions. Assignments periodically require visits to ports, airfields, storage, or other industrial areas, and involve moderate risks or discomforts. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) clothing and gear and observance of safety precautions may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office. When assessing exercises the incumbent may be required to conduct on-site training at various locations throughout the Region aboard the installation which may involve exposure to the elements.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.

Priority consideration will be given to military spouse preference and family member preference eligible residing in the commute area of the duty location for this position. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
