Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to perform mechanical and electrical tests on low voltage electrical devices based on standards and specifications. This activity in research and development of new products should be done with special attention and analysis capabilities to bring a constructive and active contribution to the development of products. The test results will be reported clearly and concisely in a test document.
The work model for the role is: #onsite.
This role contributes to the ABB Electrification Business area, particularly for the Smart Power Division in Bergamo, in the Experimental Laboratory of the Certification Department, following the development and management of the validation process on different Low Voltage devices.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Defining the details, the test sequences, their methods of execution or testing procedures, the equipment and instrumentation to be used, with reference to the applicable standards, prepare the necessary test set-up, connect the device under test on the testing plant, and execute tests.Analyzing the test results according to the applicable standard for checking the compliance of the product tested.Producing and developing activities required for the processing of test reports for tested equipment, and issuing the reports.Proposing improvements in the existing test techniques, based on experience and use of new equipment, particularly for test and measurement equipment.Assisting and supporting customers during testing activities.You will join a dynamic team where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the roleHigh School Diploma or Bachelor Degree in the Electrotechnical field or Bachelor Degree (3 years) in Electrical or Electronic field.Basic knowledge of Electrical engineering.Experience with Electrical and mechanical measuring instruments, analysis capability, and manual skills.Qualified in computer skills (programming knowledge and office software package).Passionate, organized, good at teamwork, with a high desire to learn and a problem-solving attitude.Comfortable communicating in Italian and English.What's in it for you?Research is at the core of what we do.
