R&D Senior Engineer This position reports to R&D Team Lead
Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for developing new solutions as well as technical improvement of active ones in line with the required product standards and market specifications for electrical distribution board products. The work model for the role is: #hybrid. This role is contributing to the Electrification/Smart Power/Breakers & Enclosure in Garbagnate Monastero. You will be mainly accountable for:
Works as a reliable contributor in R&D projects, working in Agile environment. Design (2D and 3D) mechanical parts and assemblies of Low Voltage Enclosures, in collaboration with the design team and in accordance with specifications. Coordinate prototype construction to ensure alignment with project/task timeline, plan and analyze experimental tests in order to verify technical solutions, adjust design as required based on test results. Support Production, Quality and Engineering department during production process implementation of new products or modifications to existing ones. Propose appropriate list of materials necessary for design, create Material Master Data and provide Bills of Materials of products. Our team dynamics are based on the Agile Methodology. Qualifications for the role You hold a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar fields. You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles. Mastering of 3D CAD tools, such as Creo 8.0 and CATIA V5 (sheet metal package is a plus). Knowledge of statistical analysis, tolerance analysis and experience with GD&T. You are at ease communicating in Italian and English. Very good knowledge of MS Office. Demonstrates adaptability under pressure, proactivity, problem-solving orientation, and commitment to deliver results by taking responsibility to execute tasks and projects, participating within a dynamic team environment.
