**Team Overview and Job Responsibilities**
She/He will support activities related to R&D development projects in accordance with the guidelines agreed with department management.
The role requires active participation in a teamwork activity related to product development with interaction with other Functions as System Design, Operations, Project Management, Sales and Quality.
The role will involve a specific focus on developing cabling solution systems for offshore floating platforms considering all the topics related to material selection, cable design, prototype manufacturing, accessories, and testing.

- To participate actively in teamwork to develop added value products and solutions dealing with other technical or industrial resources across the Company
- To maintain a profitable link with all R&D and Engineering functions to improve technological assistance and product development
- To contribute to a structured data collection on processes to better facilitate introduction of new products and technologies in production plants
- To actively work on definition and management of testing programs to homologate new products
- To support with document preparation for Customer management in terms of technical contents
- To work with raw material technical responsible to define the purchase specifications
Core competencies
- Good knowledge of design, development, and testing of flexible / dynamic connectors preferably applied to energy transmission
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes is preferable
- Ability to work in a team, inside the group and across different organizations
- Ability to create a profitable link with local and group R&D, Operations and Quality Functions
- Data driven with a talent for translating complexity into clearly defined recommendations
- Analytic mind & strong problem-solving capabilities
- Ability/availability to travel domestically, in Europe and internationally, and to work hours suitable to whatever time zone a key project may require (20 to 30% of workhours)
- Good presentation skills, along with good communication and interpersonal awareness

Experience: strong experience in engineering / product development, preferably with a focus on offshore platform solutions / renewables energy, alternatively from oil & gas industries, or experience in flexible connectors serving floating platforms.
