We are seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer able to design, develop, and test mechanical and optical components for complex opto-mechatronic devices such as Sensors, Safety, and Machine Vision products with special attention to their maintenance concerning production phases and supply chain.You will join a team of 4 internal + consultants mechanical engineers and a fast-growing R&D community that offers compelling opportunities for design learning and wide technology research.
Here you will be encouraged to act as a leader, find innovative solutions, submit patent proposals, share your ideas and accept this new exciting challenges:Carry out detailed mechanical design activities, leveraging 3D modeling, tolerances analysis, prototyping, and experiments.Develop dimensioning of part drawings according to its function and the way it will be measured.Verify and demonstrate design compliance to the specifications considering the worst possible cases and statistic worst case concerning admitted production yield.Develop design reviews, sustaining deep and thorough technical debates with knowledgeable counterparts.Ensure design files and technical documentation are kept up to date and stored in accordance with departmental procedures.Highlight and estimate all mechanical technical risks behind a design to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.Work closely with operations, manufacturing, and production engineers to ensure products are designed for manufacturability.Modify and update Bill of Materials.Conduct product cost, design effort, and delivery time estimation.Autonomously manage the required effort, divided into many different independent and sometimes overlapping tasks.QualificationsThe most engaging way to make a difference.

Your skills will be valued along with the following expertise:Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Languages: Italian, English (B2 at least).Knowledge of using 3D CAD systems, Microsoft Office tools (Siemens NX preferred), SAP (basics).Knowledge in metrology and related standard equipment.Remarkable knowledge (3+ years of specific experience) of design principles applied in the field, concerning:Geometrical Product Specification and main concepts of mechanical modeling and technical drawings.Tolerance Analysis: Worst Case and Statistic approach.Knowledge of main and common issues, ways to predict and prevent them, with respect to the following technologies:Thermoplastic injection molding parts design; Die casting partsdesign; CNC part design;Sheet metal stamping and die cutting part design; Extrusion part design.An inspiring environment with a shared visionWe believe in respect, collaboration, and communication as key factors for success.
