Description
Our R&D engineers and scientists develop breakthrough technologies that change the way the world works, and industries do business. We constantly push the limits of convention, while retaining our focus on delivering solid returns for our customers and shareholders.
You will contribute and support the team to meet successful results in Research & Development projects development for our Transformer Business Unit in Monselice (PD).
We are seeking an engineer student to join our R&D team for an internship of 6 months.
This internship will be in presence in our Monselice Technology center office: our attention therefore for a candidate who lives near this location or who has a car to be able to easily reach our office.
The successful candidate will be mainly engaged in research and development activities and in particular dimensional measurements on power transformer conductors: the data collected from the measurements will be analyzed using simple linear regression and/or machine learning algorithms.
The candidate will also be involved in other research and development activities mainly finalized at data extraction from our power transformer electrical designs and test reports.
The preferable candidate will have a background exam in electrical / mechanical engineering and elementary knowledge of statistics or MI/AI algorithms.
Your responsibilities:
Carry out mechanical dimensional measurements of the power transformer conductors, collecting the measured values in tables / DBs.
Analyze measured data from conductors using simple linear regression and/or simple machine learning algorithms.
Manage new measurements within the database containing the results previously obtained in the past.
Identify an analytical description from the values and the data analysis.
Support to our colleagues to coordinate our suppliers and our factories into the collection of the samples of conductors to be measure.
Develop and implement testing procedures for the electrical design system.
Develop and update the technical documentation, project report and technical articles based on the results of the measurements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Your background:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or other scientific areas.
University students who are looking for a bachelor or master thesis internship on these fields of application.
Understanding of manufacturing of electrical machines and/or numeric calculation exams are a plus.
Good use of Python programming and/or SQL server knowledge is considered a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Good written and spoken English.
