Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated RD Engineer to join our team.
He/she will work in an international environment on sustaining and developing our conveyance line products.
Our current product portfolio includes 40 families of products.
The aim of the company is to increase this number to offer complete solutions to the market.
The department is growing, currently we are 4 specialist located in Parma, Italy and Houten, the Netherlands.
We are aiming to build a robust international team, with expertise in various products and regions, particularly in Italy and the Netherlands.

Job Responsibilities: • Translate specifications and customer requirements into concept engineering documents and procedures in line with Fortna guidelines.• Create detailed and consistent drawings and production documents for manufacturing, ensuring readability and user-friendliness.• Revise engineering packages as needed and manage the library of standard product drawings and documents.• Develop test plans, perform tests, and write test reports to validate products against requirements.• Support internal and external stakeholders with technical advice and solutions.• Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure correct use from the Validated Prototype stage to the Launch stage.• Archive relevant materials from executed development projects systematically.• Analyze medium-complexity technical problems and implement appropriate solutions.• Process Change Requests and manage product tickets.• Document, review, and archive project deliverables according to Stage-Gate processes.• Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the implementation of improvement proposals.• Maintain regular internal and external contacts to support business needs from a product perspective.
Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.• Proven experience in an RD engineering role, particularly in product development.• Experience working in companies that manufacture in series is highly desirable.• Strong understanding of BOM management and product lifecycle from prototype to launch.• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and address technical issues.• Good communication skills with a high proficiency in English.• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.This role can be based either in Houten, Netherlands, or Parma, Italy.
