Mission The candidate will be involved in both technical RD activities for EU and National funded Projects and in technical activities for industrial Projects.
Key Accountabilities Knowledge is required for the development of innovative solutions (both RD and industrial) in the fields of Structural Health and Environmental Monitoring (SHM) systems for different final applications (e.g., construction, marine, oil gas, among the others).
His/her duties will include planning and execution of technical/testing/on-site activities (both RD and industrial), data analysis and interpretation, and technical reporting.
The candidate will work in a dynamic consultancy environment, with the opportunity to increase his/her skills, potentially acting as focal technical point for his/her own areas of expertise.
Education Master's Degree in Materials Engineering or Civil Engineering or Electronic/TLC Engineering.
Qualifications Preferably 2 years of experience in similar roles.
Knowledge of traditional sensors (e.g., accelerometers, inclinometers, strain gauges, acoustic) and data acquisition systems, measuring technologies (e.g., fiber optics technology), and preliminary design of SHM systems.
Planning and execution of testing campaigns.
Fluency in English.
Availability to travel worldwide on short and mid-term assignments.
The following aspects will be considered as a plus: Previous certifiable involvement in EU or National funded Project.
Previous certifiable experience in fields relevant for this job posting.
Basic knowledge of civil structures and infrastructures.
PhD degree in fields relevant for this job posting.
Basic knowledge of data analysis software (MATLAB, Mathcad, LabVIEW).
