With this internship, you will contribute and support the team to achieve successful results in Research & Development projects for our Transformer Business Unit in Monselice (PD).
The internship will primarily be in-person at our Monselice Technology Center office; therefore, we are looking for a candidate who lives nearby or has a car to easily reach our office.
Job Description:
We are seeking an engineering or data science student to join our R&D team for an internship. The successful candidate will be engaged in the development of new optimization tools based on ML/AI, including search and data entry. The ideal candidate will have a background in numeric calculation, statistics, or electrical/mechanical engineering.
Your Responsibilities:
Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools. Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods. Extract and manage data from different databases. Demonstrate resourcefulness in carrying out data collection activities. Exhibit creativity in developing ML models that best fit the involved datasets. Interact and collaborate with colleagues from the Italian team, Global Technology Centers, and factories worldwide. Learn how to use specific software and simulation tools used in the department. Your Background:
A Master's degree in Data Science (or similar), with strong competencies in Machine Learning and AI. We are also interested in a master's graduating student who wants to develop a thesis on topics related to ML/AI. Knowledge of database access & queries (e.g., SQL Server) environment. Familiarity with R Studio and/or Python environment and main ML data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience designing and debugging neural networks will be considered a plus. Proven experience in ML techniques applicable to real-world problems with a limited amount of data will be considered a plus. Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Power BI (or equivalent). Proficient in Italian and English. #J-18808-Ljbffr
