For our client, a leading multinational group in the chemical sector, we are seeking a:Quality ManagerMain responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will report directly to the Plant Manager and will coordinate a team of resources.
The key responsibilities include:Develop and Own the Site Quality Plan: prepare and take full ownership of the Site Quality Plan, ensuring alignment with Regional and Corporate Quality requirements.Quality Reporting: compile and report Quality Statistics on batches approved, batches not approved, causes, quality complaints by customers.Quality Control Management: oversee Quality Control systems and manage the quality control of all site-manufactured batches.Collaboration for Improvement: collaborate with colleagues across various Departments to drive improvements and reduce non-conforming batches.Complaint Review and Investigation: review product quality complaints and approve out-of-specification requests for manufacturing and finished products, coordinating necessary investigations.Audit Management: take ownership of the audit schedules, ensuring actions are implemented to maintain company standards.Safety Compliance: ensure a safe working environment, striving for zero recordable injuries in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
This includes delivering key enabling activities and ensuring thorough investigations of safety and environmental incidents, with appropriate countermeasures established.Certificates Preparation: prepare and compile Certificates of Analysis and Certificates of Conformity for all products.Conduct Quality Audits: perform audits on finished product quality to ensure compliance with standards.Performance Data Analysis: assist and advise the team in analyzing performance data, facilitating improvement activities identified through this analysis.Training and Development: enable and ensure the delivery of effective training and development programs for the Quality Control team.Candidate profileRequirements:Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in Quality Control or Quality Management roles within the chemical industry or similar sectors, preferably in complex environments.Strong understanding of quality management principles and practices, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex product and operational issues.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Ability to effectively build and manage relationships, both within the company and with external partners.Skilled at identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in processes, and providing practical solutions.Experience in motivating and leading teams, with excellent communication skills and an approachable demeanor.Proven experience in results-driven environments, with a strong focus on achieving set objectivesLocationGreater Bologna Metropolitan Area
