**Job Title: Quality Manager**
**Role Purpose**:
To enable the business to design, engineer and manufacture products that we are proud to provide, of the highest quality and value to our stakeholders through: Quality Culture, Continuous improvement, Governance, Development & Sustainability.
**Quality Culture**:
Engagement & influence: engaging colleagues and peers ensure that our people can clearly articulate their role in driving Quality and Compliance
Generating ownership: in the wider workforce for implementation of Quality and Compliance measures
Coaching & development: build a strong functional team and holding a high bar on performance, coaching the team to deliver against the standard
A strong, collaborative network: consisting of peers in similar roles to drive learning and consistency across markets
Risk appetite: instilling a risk-based compliance mind-set into everyone
Instilling a strong sense of pride and ownership for driving Compliance and ethics within the operation
**Continuous improvement**:
Strategy development: supporting Global Quality & Compliance Managers in the continuous evolution of medium and long term Quality and Compliance strategies
Alignment: matching localised priorities to organisational and ensuring shared ownership of effective implementation
Customer focus: ensuring strategies and plans support customer needs and drive prevention and improvement
Enabling solutions: supporting other functions around quality issues, establishing root cause, and corrective and prevention measures required
**Governance**:
Standardisation: introduction of quality standards and tools with clear process management
Systems: managing end-to-end, data driven Quality Management System (QMS)
Engaging key functions: (e.g. Purchasing, Design, Production, Sales) and suppliers early to prevent failure
Methodology and rigour: delivering audits and reviews to ensure adherence to standards and regulatory/legislative requirements; including supplier audits
**Development & Sustainability**:
Stakeholder engagement: supporting sales team in building credibility in the market
Contributing to One Planet strategy: which incorporates environmental and sustainability targets
Influencing the business: to minimise waste and adverse environmental impact
Driving commercial growth: through quality, compliance and reliability
Balancing governance & commercial outcomes: focus on standards and commercial outcomes

Coaching and development: building a strong, functional team, setting high performance standards and coaching the team to deliver against these;
Collaborating with peers: contribute to a collaborative peer network to drive consistency across markets, share best practice and come up with solutions together;

**Critical experiences**:
**Strategy development and deployment**
Customer experience management and development
Exposure to leading quality methodologies (e.g. Kaizen, risk, process control, continuous improvement); Root Cause Analysis & Pareto
Engineering background (minimum technical apprentice level; ideally degree level qualification); breadth of knowledge of sectors, product and manufacturing processes, and key methodologies
Experience of working with QMS system
Experience of compliance management
Experience of creating improvement plans and KPI management
High level of knowledge of key standards (e.g. ISO 9001; CE, ASME)
ISO14001 awareness
