Quality Engineer (Supplier Exp. Req.) Location: West Minneapolis, MN Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 + Benefits + Annual Profit-Sharing Eligibility Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401K w/ Match, Profit-Sharing, Parental Leave, 4 Weeks of PTO Job Type: Full-Time  Typical Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm, 7am-4pm Flexible Start Date: ASAP Travel: 5%-10% international & domestic Sponsorship: Not available Relocation Assistance: Available Quality Engineer (Supplier Exp. Req.) Description Our client in the manufacturing and consumer products industry is looking for a Quality Engineer to add to their team in West Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will work with new and existing suppliers to support local manufacturing efforts, ensuring products conform to required specifications and drive business decisions via analytics and metrics. The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background and experience in quality control plans, supplier development, root-cause analysis, & the creation of processes/procedures. To be successful, you must possess complex problem-solving and analytical skills while working cross-functionally and collaboratively. Quality Engineer (Supplier Exp. Req.) Responsibilities •    Lead and support quality initiatives related to existing products and new product development
•    Verify products conform to engineering specifications 
•    Complete investigations of non-conforming parts and products
•    Ensure corrective actions are implemented addressing the root cause of identified issues
•    Develop new and existing suppliers and create operational procedures 
•    Work with suppliers to improve the design of manufactured components and products
•    Leverage and analyze ERP data and business intelligence to drive decision-making
•    Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing supplier and manufacturing data 
•    Use APQP/PPAP methodologies to manage change and improve product quality
•    Leverage design-support tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, & QFD
•    Electronically store drawings, documents, and data via a Document Management System
•    Excel while working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, & Marketing
Quality Engineer (Supplier Exp. Req.) Qualifications •    Bachelor's degree is required
•    5+ years of manufacturing experience, including quality & supplier development, is required
•    Experience with control plans & root cause analysis is required
•    Strong Excel skills (ex: formulas) + data analysis experience with ERP output is required
•    Ability to interact with international suppliers outside of business hours, as needed, is required
•    Ability to work 100% on-site & travel 5%-10% (international & domestic) of the time is required
