Job Description: Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer who will be primarily responsible for resolving and closing preventative and corrective actions across all of Smart Manufacturing Accelerator (SMA). This includes documented implementation plans and validation audits for preventative and corrective actions, both internal and customer. The Quality Engineer will coordinate the completion of quality system activities to ensure consistent compliance with quality system requirements.
Responsibilities: Issue and coordinate the completion/close-out of Corrective & Preventive ActionsEvaluate data, prepare graphs/charts, and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standardsClose internal and customer corrective actions (including regional facilities) by monitoring and managing the quality databasePerform 90-day validation auditsDevelop, implement and improve in-house audit processesDevelop and maintain internal audit schedule and validation audit scheduleImplement ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teamsConduct routine quality briefings with production and machining cellsWrite and review 8Ds, QIRs, and 5 Why documentsManage PPAP samples and PPAP filing systemPrepare and complete action plans in response to corrective and preventative actionsReview quality assurance standards, study existing policies and procedures, and interview personnel and customers to evaluate the effectiveness of the quality assurance programPerform QA studies such as Gage R&RsManage and promote SSPs and SSP databaseEnsure compliance with Company Quality Manual and ISO 9001 requirementsRequired Qualifications: Associates/Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience in Engineering, Quality or other technical discipline, and three years' experience. (10+ years' experience in Engineering, Quality or technical discipline and non-degree with CQE Certification will be considered in lieu of degree)5 years of experience in a manufacturing/quality environment preferredKnowledge of ISO 9001 Quality System Standards, Corrective Action, PPAP, and Discrepant Material managementWorking knowledge (Create & Edit) of MS Office Documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Experience utilizing and implementing continuous improvement methodologies and techniques (i.e., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen)Hamdan Resources, LLC is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
