Job Description: Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Incoming Materials Quality Team Leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
The position is based in Naples.
Key Responsibilities: Establishing, planning, and coordinating a pool of quality inspectors according to quality planning activities.
Responsible for people engagement, verifying performance reviews, identifying development needs, developing training plans, and performing training for the QC team.
In charge of monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to monitor process capability and implement corrective actions as needed.
Responsible for managing the QC internal team, including supervision of quality inspections, checking/reviewing outcomes, and developing QC improvement activities.
Overseeing quality inspection records using company-specific software and tools.
Managing the Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) process to track and address quality issues found during inspections.
Being the main point of reference for the Manufacturing assembly unit, Supply Chain Management, Suppliers Quality Management, Engineering department, ensuring timely execution of incoming materials control activities and sharing inspection results.
Required Skills/Knowledge: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Engineering, SAP system, and Company internal repository.
Experience in quality documentation management, including Manufacturing Inspection Plans (MIPs) and Declaration of Conformity forms.
Knowledge of the main special processes (any special processes qualifications will be considered as a preference for the recruitment acquisition).
Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing specifications, and also of International standards, through welding process standards specification.
Knowledge of technical drawings, dimensional and geometric tolerance standards, and practice of measurement tools.
Proven experience in pool coordination leadership of production processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Strong skills in critical work conditions, decision-making capability, and communication skills.
Open to learning, flexibility, proactive approach development, and team-working orientation.
Education/Qualifications: High-school graduate or equivalent technical background.
Languages: Fluent knowledge of English (written & spoken).
