Job Location: Forest ParkWant to make an impact?The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that quality standards and programs are being met. The technician will conduct analytical lab checks and work collaboratively with production to solve QA issues.
Work Schedule: 4:00am - 4:00pm
Ways you will make a differenceAdheres to all company policies and proceduresGuides and leads quality and food safety standardsPerforms plant GMP audit and corrects findings on the floorDetermines root cause analysis when there are quality deviations and reports on holdsPerforms quality checks for QA programs in the facilityEnsures compliance with BRC standards through internal auditingPerforms analytical lab calibrations and verificationsExecutes all processes in accordance with company standard operating procedures and GMP and adherence to HACCP, GMP, and FFC safety methodsConducts analytical testing following laboratory standardized methodsManages Critical Control Point verifications and confirms compliance to HACCP requirementsPerforms packaging inspections for startup and throughout the shiftConducts thorough changeover inspections utilizing ATP swabsParticipates in glass, brittle plastic inspectionReviews in-process paperwork ensuring compliance to GDP requirementsTakes initiative and suggests improvementsAccountable for full compliance with safety, quality and other relevant requirementsOther duties as assignedMaintain expectations for creating high quality and food safe products through compliance with regulatory requirements and by upholding a strong quality culture.
Skills that will make you successfulMust have knowledge of operating basic laboratory equipmentRequired knowledge of GMPs/SOPsConfident in communicating and coachingPeer coaching acceptance requiredGood analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsBe at work as scheduled and in a timely mannerExperiences that will support your successRecent College Graduates (Food Science, Chemistry, or related field highly preferred but NOT required).
