The Quality and C.I.
Manager's mission is to ensure that an efficient and effective control and improvement of the Product quality is in place, and that all Company's core processes are effective in meeting and exceeding Customer's expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015 and ISO-EN 3834) and product certification (PED, ASME).
- Be the primary contact of third-party notified bodies, to assess the conformity to both product regulations and management system standards.
- Manage a team comprising: Quality Engineers, Welding Engineer, Product quality inspectors Quality documentation specialists
- Ensure effective and rapid analysis and solution of Customer Claims and internal product quality issues
- Ensure control of conformity on finished products and semi-finished or components
- Guide suppliers to monitor and improve performances (quality, delivery)
- Implement business improvement projects/initiatives across the organizational unit, in order to allow the achievement of the main business objectives.
- Promote effective and diffuse practices of Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Actions.
- Develop a robust Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy in partnership with the Management Team and key business stakeholders to achieve the business set priorities;
- Implement and support cultural change across the organization and drive business process improvement.
- Act as trainer and methodologist, progressively spreading operational knowledge on the topics of Lean flow, elimination of waste, 5S, work standards, Problem-solving;
- Be a functional report to Corporate, functionally reporting to the EMEA Quality Manager; Deploy Global quality plans and goals in Solaro site.
- Train and mentor Managers and Employees on Quality topics (system, products, standards, methodologies for improvement).

The Individual
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Management Engineering, or equivalent;
- Extensive experience in Engineering, Production, or Quality functions in an Industrial, preferably mechanical, environment in companies ISO 9001 certified.
- Previous experience in managing a team of direct reports is essential
- Experience in a Multinational environment would be a plus
- Direct involvement in ensuring conformity to pressure vessels regulations (preferably PED and API), welding processes, NDT;
- NDT and/or welding qualifications would be a plus;
- Auditor qualification according to ISO 19011 would be a plus; Lean and Six Sigma
- Black Belt Certification would be a plus;
- Experience as a trainer
- Operating experience with SAP;
