For AIRBNB ITALY we are looking for a: PUBLIC POLICY & PARTNERSHIP MANAGER We are looking for a Public Policy & Partnership Manager dedicate to Milano-Cortina 2026 to advance our regulatory and partnership work across the Regions involved in the Games, meaning Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige and with a primary focus on the host cities of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games Milano-Cortina 2026.
This role will report to the Campaign Lead for Southern Europe, and you will be part of the multi-skilled campaign team, helping to define, design and implement high-impact strategic partnerships and initiatives.
Frequent travel within Italy and the host cities of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games Milano-Cortina 2026 should be expected, along with occasional travel within Europe and to our global headquarters in San Francisco.
Key Activities and Responsibilities: Support the Campaign Lead in developing policy and partnerships strategies and priorities, advise on local needs, plan relevant activities and design policy positions across the host regions and municipalities of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Milano-Cortina 2026; Design and implement high-impact strategic partnerships and initiatives within the government, tourism, economic development, innovation and sustainability sectors that advance Airbnb s long-term policy objectives with public and private sector institutions in Italy; Identify partnership opportunities - new potential partners and partnerships programmes - work with partners to develop MOU s, work with internal teams to deliver on partner MOU s and maintain partner/stakeholder relationships; Support on Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games Milano-Cortina 2026 partnerships and local initiatives in a cross-functional way with the other functions in the region; Serve as ambassador for Airbnb to and as contact person for above mentioned organisations; build and manage an ecosystem of public sector partners for Airbnb across the region.
Work cross-functionally and build strong internal relationships across Airbnb to deliver creative and impactful initiatives that support policy objectives and demonstrate to society the broader benefits of our business model to communities and cities in the region.
Manage logistics of individual partnership projects from start to finish, including identifying and scoping opportunities, negotiating terms, aligning with different teams and functions, advancing contractual agreements, coordinating rollouts, and managing budgets.
Requirements: 7 years experience working in government, a relevant business or non-governmental organisation in Italy with direct public sector experience in either the tourism, economic development, innovation Proven track record of developing multi-faceted partnerships between public and private sector entities.
First-rate project management skills: ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and with multiple stakeholders, internally as well as externally; acute attention to detail and highly organized; Degree in political science, law or economics Good knowledge of the regulatory landscape and legislative processes in Italy are mandatory.
Proven ability to build and sustain networks of influence across a broad range of stakeholders; The role is based in Cortina, but would require regular travel to Milan where the Airbnb office is, including overnight stays as required.
Candidates must speak fluent English and Italian. You must submit your application in English.
