About the Position: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Psychometrician to join our residential mental health treatment facility.
This role will support our Neuropsychology, Clinical, and Personality Assessment teams by administering and scoring neuropsychological and psychological assessments, preparing data for interpretation, and assisting in case conceptualization.
The ideal candidate will have experience with a range of psychometric tools, a strong foundation in psychological and neuropsychological assessment, and a commitment to supporting client-centered care in a residential treatment setting.Key Responsibilities:Assessment Administration: Conduct standardized psychological, neuropsychological, and personality assessments for residential adult populations (18 years and older), under the supervision of licensed psychologists.Scoring and Data Preparation: Accurately score a variety of psychological assessments, including cognitive, neuropsychological, and personality tests and prepare data summaries for review.Patient Engagement: Ensure patient comfort during assessment sessions, explaining procedures clearly, managing timing effectively, and making adaptations as needed for individuals with varying abilities.Documentation & Reporting: Compile detailed summaries of assessment results, behavioral observations, and relevant patient history for inclusion in diagnostic reports.Clinical Support: Collaborate with clinical and medical teams to provide input on treatment planning based on assessment findings; participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.RequirementsEducation: This position requires a Master's degree in Psychology, Psychometrics, or a related field preferred; Bachelor's degree with significant experience in psychometric assessment may be considered.Experience: 1-2 years of experience in administering and scoring neuropsychological and psychological assessments in clinical or research settings, ideally in an inpatient or residential healthcare environment.Technical Skills: Proficiency with psychometric tools (e.g., WAIS-IV/WAIS-V, WMS-IV, MMPI, MCMI-IV, PAI, WRAT-4, RBANS, CVLT-3, WCST, D-KEFS, CPT-3) and scoring software; knowledge of HIPAA compliance and ethical guidelines in psychological testing.Special Skills & Knowledge: Candidates should have the following skills and attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to be adaptable and accept changes quickly and easily; be willing to address conflict appropriately.
Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus, familiarity with psychological and neuropsychological assessment scoring programs.Additional Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in inpatient or residential mental health or neuropsychological assessment setting; certification as a Psychometrist or in Psychological Testing; familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and patient data management systems.Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
