Proposal Engineer - Painting Process This position reports to
Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the paint products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource. Responsibilities include:
Developing feasibility studies and simulations for proposals. Preparing project and product quotations. Presenting solutions to customers, including top management. Representing ABB during site visits and ensuring customer satisfaction. Assisting sales personnel during customer visits. Maintaining in-depth knowledge of robots and associated equipment. Ensuring achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth. Contributing to the Paint Global Solution Center for Automotive Industries. Qualifications for the role
A solid and proven experience working as an engineer or process expert in robotics and automation painting systems. Experience in proposal activities will be a plus. You are at ease communicating in English and Italian, both written and spoken. You have strong skills in customer experience management and pricing. Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, with a customer-focused mindset. Experience in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies. Willingness to travel extensively in Europe, Africa, and South America. More about us
