Position
Preparing and maintaining integrated schedules of project and/or programme activities and events, considering of dependencies and available resources.
As a Planner your primary responsibility will be to create project programmes and manage the programme ensuring that projects are kept on track by producing reports and using project management tools to keep all other teams involved in the project on track.
**Task and duties**:
- Organize, implement, and maintain schedules to support identified projects or new business opportunities and their plans.
- Create, maintain, review and administer construction schedules and plans
- Problem solving
- Produce tender plans to support bids
- Creating, maintaining, and reviewing a programme of work
- Breaking large jobs down into phases of development
- Using project management tools to plan timeframes
- calculate the resources needed for a project
- Planning contingency programmes in case timeframes change
- Baseline project programmes ensuring the critical path works are on schedule
- Demonstrating knowledge of construction
- Supporting bids for tender
- Working between offices and construction sites.
- Liaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development
- Assist to set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled.
- Log project time-lines and maintain database of tasks and its status.
- Log all new information into database and provide scheduled reports for contract coordination and reporting purposes.
- Design and develop project schedule with BOP Contractor or General Contractor.
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
- Support project management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems.
- Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
- Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
- Interact with contractors, customers and project management team.
**Requirements**:
**Your background**
- Educated to Bacheor's Degree level in a technical discipline
- Experience managing schedule of a Portfolio or Multiple Projects at the same time.
- Previous employment as a project planner in the construction industry
- Relevant knowledge and experience in Primavera Project Management P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
**Your skills**
- Result-oriented with a strong ability to deliver; dynamic and team-oriented, thriving on a variety of challenges and always willing to learn;
- Proven experience in a very similar role, and immediately recognizable as an expert in the field;
- Some on-site project construction experience, ideally in Energy Sector (Renewable or Conventional Power Plant, MV / HV Switchyard, Transmission Lines, etc.
);
- Experience with P&L management;
