The Project Manager is a key role within ALSTOM.
He/she is in charge of:
Performance Measurement
Respect of Project Management Processes, Methods & Tools
Projects QCD commitment
Design for Quality Review Cycle (DFQ) Gate Review (GR) GO ON TIME & GR ON TIME
Sales, Cash, Gross Margin and inventory (hard / soft)
Project EHS KPI
Main Responsibilities
Deliver projects according to QCD, Contract and Safety commitments as specified at contract signature & related signed Variation Orders
Ensure that the project workload needs are well forecasted and anticipated by Project Core Team
Participate & prepare Monthly Project Review (MPR) of projects under his / her control as per rules defined in MPR instructions
Define, review & adjust strategies of the project with RC Projects Director and Customer Director; periodically
Animate and lead operationally the Project Core Team, defining the project priorities
Support Customer Director in proposing and negotiating variation orders and claims with customer
Support CustomerDirector in getting customer acceptance of the project
Ensure TIS / Transport Project Management Processes, Methods and Tools are applied on project
Ensure EHS rules are applied
As per specific delegation of the Regional Center Projects Director, coordinate a team of Project Managers, making sure their projects are executed as per QCD commitment
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Project management background, including Risk management and Planning expertise
Knowledge of International contracts way of working;
Good practices of costing and financial risks
High communications network, reporting capabilities
High capability to stimulate efficient team working to produce documents within a limited time period
Be able to challenge proposals to obtain optimal solutions backed with commitments
Demonstrate integrity and be fully involved in in Alstom Ethics&Compliance Values
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization
Anticipation and problem solving
Sense of urgency and managing priorities to be compliant with tender execution
Knowledge of railway signalling products and systems

The position is located at our Bologna office and will require regular travels (domestic and international missions).
