A specialist geospatial business is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in geospatial data, client-facing project management, and grant proposal writing, who is ready to take on a diverse and exciting workload.The Role:As Project Manager, the focus will be on managing a variety of institutional projects and developing innovative geospatial initiatives.
A key aspect of the role will involve writing grant proposals to secure funding for these initiatives and working closely with clients to ensure the successful execution of projects.The position also involves significant client-facing responsibilities, from pre/post-sales support to in-person meetings, ensuring project delivery and fostering strong relationships.
There will also be opportunities for public speaking at quarterly events and industry conferences.Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of geospatial data projects for institutional clients.Write and submit grant proposals for innovative geospatial initiatives.Lead client meetings, ensuring the delivery of projects from start to finish.Provide pre/post-sales support, working closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions.Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate resources and meet project deadlines.Represent the company at industry events and conferences, including public speaking engagements.Key Requirements:Strong knowledge of geospatial data and related technologies.Proven experience in managing client-facing projects, including pre/post-sales engagement.Experience in writing successful grant proposals.Excellent communication skills, with confidence in public speaking at events.Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.Flexibility to travel across Italy and internationally for client meetings.Ideally based in or around Milan, with the ability to commute to the office 2-3 days a week.Applicants must be based in Italy; unfortunately, applications from outside Italy cannot be accepted.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company at the forefront of the geospatial industry, with exciting projects and room for professional growth.
