Are you an experienced project manager and want to be part of a smart, brave and passionate team leading the strategic perspective, development, coordination and delivery of our project in partnership with IOM. This project will facilitate off-farm livelihood diversification for women and youth among Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in selected zones in Oromia and Somali region in Ethiopia.

The HR team focuses on work life balance, well being, learning and growth opportunities as well as opportunities to take part in events organized by RfC and partners etc. Read more about us at reachforchange.org/en About the role: As the Project Manager you will play a crucial part in continuing our partnership with IOM with the aim of Facilitating off-farm livelihood diversification for women and youth among Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in selected zones in Oromia and Somali region. You will be part of a local and global team and reporting directly to our Country Manager in Ethiopia. You will be responsible for providing leadership to the project team, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, delivery of the project in line with agreed timeline and high quality and reporting. The work will include leading and developing the project team and managing the partnership with IOM.
Your main responsibilities include: Overall responsibility of the project planning, implementation, reporting and closeout of the project.
Donor engagement and compliance: lead on the contact with the donor, including responsibility of all aspects of donor reporting. Accountable for ensuring donor compliance across all elements of the project.
With the support of the Country Manager, Ethiopia and global Head of Programs, manage quality assurance by adapting proven RfC methodologies, tools and processes of supporting social entrepreneurs or program participants
Work together with the country team and Central Program team to develop innovative and relevant ways of supporting social entrepreneurs and run programs, and share ideas, methods and insights from the program implementation.
Work together with the Impact team to monitor, report and evaluate the outcomes of the pilot to ensure continuous improvements and to maximizes the impact.
Plan, run, and evaluate strategies and activities for the project in accordance with global OKRs with the aim of improving the lives of children, youth, disadvantaged and vulnerable groups in Ethiopia.
Ensure that social entrepreneurs or program participants are trained, coached, and get relevant support to achieve the required results in line with the project objectives
Plan, implement, track, evaluate, capture and utilize learnings for continuous improvement, strategic decision makings and future programming purposes
Line and budget management: Line management and supervision of Project Officers and interns, including recruitment of such.
Budgetary responsibility for all actively running projects under your supervision including setting budget, monthly forecast and actuals update, annual reporting, and final reporting.
Manage the overall program operations within budget and in line with financial policies.
Provide monthly forecast updates to the Finance Manager to ensure that programs are delivered efficiently in order to maximize the impact created through our program spending.
Be responsible for the wellbeing and performance of your direct report.
Shared team responsibilities include: If necessary, and under periods of intense workload; help and support the rest of the organization to achieve team and organizational objectives.
Contribute to efforts to share best practice, ideas and experience on successful implementation of the programs externally and across the markets.
Continue to build the sense of 'One Reach for Change' by promoting a collaborative culture and efficient sharing of resources across all Reach for Change teams.
Responsibility to build and retrain your own knowledge about the field of social entrepreneurship and innovation.
Share knowledge internally across functions and markets contributing to RfC continued development as a learning organization and externally supporting RfC strategy on thought leadership and ecosystem development.

Willingness and ability to travel within the country from time to time in particular to the project implementation areas in Oromia and Somalia regions.
Education & experience: Minimum 5 years relevant experience from a similar project manager position in international development organization
Proven strategic and leadership skills.
A Master degree in a relevant field.
Experience from work within the philanthropic/non-profit or business sector in the project specific regions.
Qualified experiences in business training and coaching preferably for MSMEs and understanding of the financing landscape.
Experience in implementing projects in disaster affected and IDPs situations or familiarity with the implementation areas
Excellent training capacity and report writing skills.
Excellent command of English and Amharic languages
Local language understanding Oromigna and/or Somaligna
Experience of working with M&E in projects where the IDPS and disaster affected communities
Very good proficiency in project management tools, and digital solutions.
Understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
Experienced user of Microsoft Office/Google Suite and ability to quickly understand and use web based applications and platforms.
