Position: Project Manager Department: Construction

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join a Construction team. This role will involve overseeing large-scale projects with a focus on commercial and utility-scale solar projects. Based in Milan, the Project Manager will manage multiple projects at different phases, ensuring successful delivery within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will report directly to the Construction Director and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of project sites. Duties will include:
Project Planning and Management:Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets for commercial and utility-scale solar projects.Regularly track project costs and ensure that financial targets are met.Conduct in-depth reviews to estimate costs and schedule deliverables, ensuring project milestones are achieved.Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with internal teams (Origination, Legal, Engineering, BD) and external stakeholders to implement photovoltaic projects.Maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders throughout all project phases.Project Coordination:Manage the coordination and execution of planning conditions, including securing final land agreements and other legal/contractual obligations.Facilitate the appointment of key project roles such as Works Director, Principal Designer, and Principal Contractor.Oversee additional project requirements, such as securing necessary approvals from local authorities, ministries, and regional agencies, as well as obtaining clearances for road crossings and other logistical matters.Construction Oversight:Supervise construction activities from initial planning to completion, ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations.Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and manage subcontractor performance.Oversee on-site delivery, quality testing, and collaboration with the HSEQ Manager to ensure product and service quality.Issue Resolution and Reporting:Document and resolve site-related issues, especially those caused by the EPC or customer activities.Provide regular progress updates to both clients and senior management as required.Troubleshoot any problems related to the installation and ensure timely resolution.Business Development Support:Assist the Business Development team by preparing proposal plans, schedules, and project outlines to support future projects.Health and Safety Compliance:Ensure that all activities adhere to health and safety regulations and that the highest ethical standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.Requirements:
Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar technical discipline.Experience:A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management for commercial photovoltaic (PV) systems, covering permitting, construction, commissioning, and operations & maintenance (O&M).Previous experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects is a plus.Skills:Strong proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project.Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.Thorough understanding of project management processes, with a proven ability to solve both technical and personnel issues.Excellent record-keeping and organizational abilities.Ability to work as part of a team and in a target-oriented environment.Other Requirements:Willingness to travel regionally as required by project locations.Ability to work at heights, particularly for wind farm facilities.Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is an advantage.
