We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to oversee the construction of our Astronomical Observatory Infrastructure projects in Australia, Argentina, and Mexico.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the construction activities across multiple international locations.
This position requires travel and a commitment to ensuring the successful completion of these cutting-edge observatories.Key Responsibilities:Global Project Management:Manage construction projects simultaneously in Australia, Argentina, and Mexico.
Coordinate activities and timelines across international locations.Subcontractor Management:negotiate contracts and manage the subcontractor.
Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.Travel Requirement: Be available for travel to project sites in Australia, Argentina, and Mexico.
Monitor and supervise construction activities and conduct site inspections.Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Address unforeseen challenges promptly and implement strategies to keep the project on track.Timeline Adherence:Monitor project timelines, ensuring construction progresses according to schedule.
Address any delays promptly and implement strategies to maintain project timelines.Stakeholder Communication:Regularly communicate with stakeholders, providing updates on projects progress, challenges faced, and proposed solutions.
Act as a liaison between subcontractors, observatory team, and regulatory authorities.Quality Control:Maintain consistent quality standards across all project locations.Problem Resolution:Address conflicts and challenges promptly, implementing effective solutions.
Act as a mediator between subcontractors, team members, and stakeholders to maintain a productive work environment.Documentation:Maintain accurate project documentation for each location.
This includes contracts, plans, progress reports, and correspondence.Team Leadership:Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Post-Construction Evaluation:Oversee the evaluation of the completed observatory infrastructure.
Address any outstanding issues and ensure a smooth transition to operational status.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.Proven experience managing international construction projects.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Willingness to travel and work across different time zones.
