The purpose of this position is to coordinate and help deliver the Workplace Experience Project in Modena, Italy, on behalf of CBRE and to take ownership of FM, infrastructure, MAC and project management activities under the main WEX project. A principal contractor will be awarded for the main construction work, so the role and responsibilities for this position will be to ensure effective and comprehensive coordination for the customer.
Key Responsibilities
Taking responsibility as the single point of contact for CBRE with the project team undertaking the WEX refurbishment work, attending all meetings as CBRE representative for the customer and ensuring deliverables for the CBRE team are managed on time and on budget. Building strong relationships with the customer and wider stakeholders to ensure high satisfaction with project overview. Creating, coordinating and managing the moves and changes aspect of the project, working closely with the customer to organise planning, sequencing and scheduling. Demonstrating capability to read, understand and apply standards to moderately complex documents affecting projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, specifications and drawings. Interfacing directly with the customer to define project requirements as part of the wider CBRE site management of the office. Identifying project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conducting standard to complex request for proposals; completing bid analysis; leading evaluation interviews and recommending resources to clients. Implementing communication plans for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed. Disseminating tasks and activities from principal contractor meetings and following responsibilities through to completion. Reporting status and variances and creating action plans to meet objectives and schedules, and clearly identifying risk and providing solutions to mitigate. Demonstrating ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks. Demonstrating a knowledge of projects & project management within the context of business results (business case, larger economic implications, business risk, etc). Taking a lead in providing workplace excellence, introducing the new spaces to the customer and being the point person for the successful adoption of the new culture and technology. Owning the successful completion of the principle contractor's snag list, following up with progress and driving delivery on behalf of the customer. Supervisory Responsibilities
Managing 3rd party project delivery resources/team. Taking decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Person Specification
ESSENTIAL
Education:
Undergrad degree in a technical and or industry area of study. Supplementary Project Management qualification: APMP, LEED, RICS or equivalent preferable. Skills:
Fluency or high proficiency with spoken and written English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in leases, construction contracts, and construction practices. Local knowledge and experience of projects in international environment. Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company. Knowledge:
Strong technical understanding of Mechanical & Electrical engineering and Project Management. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures and to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports. Experience:
Experience of managing direct and indirect reports and maintaining excellent customer relations. Proven experience in all facets of project management for FM projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout. Manage delivery of several projects at any one time through the project life cycle, e.g. programming, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout. Able to work autonomously on project matters but with a collaborative and occupier-focused approach to wider operations. Proven industry experience and/or training.
