Reporting to the Project Director (PD) based in Milan HQ, the resource will:
Continuously interface with the Client, actively participating in project management weekly and monthly meetings. Prepare monthly progress reports, minutes of meetings, and lookahead programmes. Prepare project documentation as required (e.g., Communication Plan, Stakeholder Plan, Interface Plan, License/Permits Plan, Risk Register, etc.). Act as the main interface with the Permitting Manager, participate in meetings with Land Owners, Authorities, and Asset Owners, and follow up on any actions needed to obtain permits on time, cooperating with the Employer. Ensure that a Permits obtainment schedule is in place and properly monitored. Be responsible for updating the Project Actions Tracker Register and following up on any actions dealing with the relevant function. Be familiar with the Master Document Register and follow up on the documentation review cycle with the Customer and Marine Warranty Surveyor, guaranteeing timely documentation readiness. As required, participate in the bidders' section and preparation of the documentation package required for the bidding phase. Manage project subcontractors involved in activities such as cable landfall assistance, HDD construction, civil works, and marine surveys. Ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulations, championing a safety-first culture. Collect lessons learned. Qualifications and Experience Master's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Project Engineer for a major Oil & Gas EPC Contractor or Civil Contractor, preferably involved in projects comprising engineering, procurement, and installation of HV cable both onshore and offshore (marine survey, cable laying, protection, landfall, cable pulling, etc.). Familiarity with the procurement process and technical bid evaluation of bidders' proposals. Experience in preparing engineering and project management documentation. Experience in following up on the documentation review cycle with the Employer and Marine Warranty Surveyor. Experience with permits and consent management processes (permits to access the site, crossing agreements, liaison with Land Owners, etc.). Experience in managing interfaces between different contractors working within the same worksite (e.g., Converter Station and/or landfall). Supplier and subcontractor management experience. Key Experience Preferably 2-3 years of experience on-site supervising construction civil works such as trenching, backfilling, HDD execution, sheet pile installation, land cable pulling, landfall pulling, etc. Experience working on projects with National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) or Scottish & Southern Electricity Network (SSEN). Good knowledge of: The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (UK law). National Grid Electricity Transmission Design Management Requirements (i.e., Supplier Requirements SR-188 "Design Management"). BS 5975 Temporary Works Procedure.
