The company produces NBR and SBR type synthetic latexes in aqueous emulsion, used in the production of paper, rugs, carpets, non-woven fabrics, rubber items, adhesive tapes, disposable and reusable gloves.

Purpose of the Job: Leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver the investment project.
Key deliverables will be safe execution of the project, ensuring the project is designed to the required standard, quality, at the lowest achievable cost and handed over for beneficial operation within the required timeframe.
It requires leadership of the various functions of the project engineering team and excellent coordination with external parties to deliver the project objectives.
Main Accountabilities: Delivery of Engineering Leading Synthomer EPCM or Project Engineering team in executing the global CAPEX investment project.
Responsible for delivering the majority share of the project lifecycle from design through to commissioning.
Reviews the requested scope and challenges it to ensure the best possible outcomes are reached considering SHE, quality schedule and cost.
Accountable for the engineering design implementation by leading the functions of the project team (both SYN EPCM).
Directs project engineers to design new processes and/or modify existing designs as per project needs.
Ensures conformance to regional global engineering and safety standards e.g.
Engineering Best Practices, SHEMS, Engineering Specifications.
Responsibility to provide the necessary project governance to ensure successful delivery of the projects focusing on ensuring risks are mitigated according to the PE methodology.
Defines the engineering resource demand required and reviews the construction manpower requirements to deliver the project.
Directs the external resources used to ensure projects are executed efficiently within time and budget.
Validates the uses of external resource requirement to ensure SYN is always getting the best value.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, forecasts, schedules and execution plans for submission of full CEP approval.
Deliver on the project KPI's.
Implements and uses common engineering tools for cost-effective project execution e.g.
estimating, project documentation, resource planning, value based engineering.
Commissioning support.
Management Use personal initiative and business directives to identify opportunities for cost reduction, schedule saving, implement engineering standardization and Best Practices.
Effectively manage required resource levels of the multi-disciplinary team by ensuring internal and external resource is made available when needed.
Provide leadership to the engineering team, motivate them to deliver safely whilst meeting the project objectives and coach them in SYN's way of working.
Set the KPI, allocate work and manage the day to day issues of the engineering team.
Report on project engineering performance to the Site Manager.
Plan projects according to priority and strategy of the Site.
Support site CAPEX definition in agreeing with Site Leadership Team.
Work contract: Permanent Requirements Knowledge and skills Educated to a degree level in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in leading multi-discipline projects up to £10 M. Fluent Italian at least C1 level.
Fluent English at least B1 level.
Knowledge of AutoCAD mandatory.
Knowledge of MS Project and SAP is a nice to have.
Solid working knowledge MS Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
