Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be the technical lead and design authority for engineering and execution of small to medium-size projects either in office or on site ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual specifications & agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, while identifying improvement opportunities. The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid. This role is contributing to the Marine & Ports Division. You will be mainly accountable for: Following ABB policies and business ethics and working in accordance with ABB procedures using applicable tools.Ensuring quality in all the assigned tasks.Coordinating and leading multiple complex projects from the technical point of view acting as focal point either towards internal or external stakeholders (Team members, Supply Chain, Customers, Suppliers) from KOM to final delivery.Providing quality deliverables as per Customer's requirements and to deliver within targeted time and costs ensuring adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.Creating work plans and prepare project documentation within one's scope of deliverables or to check/approve the ones prepared by Team members/Suppliers.Defining technical requirements for equipments or services to be purchased, to provide technical evaluation of supplier's proposals and to accept as fit for purpose supplied equipments or services.Working in strict cooperation with Project Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.).Using standard processes and procedures to ensure all commissioning activities comply with the required safety regulations and satisfy contractual requirements.Reporting processes and tools inefficiencies and suggesting improvement ideas.Travelling on-site whenever needed during any project phase. Qualifications for the role You are highly skilled in real-time processes with particular focus on Automation in marine sector.You have at least 5 years work experience in a technical customer focused area, ideally in Marine sector.Possess an enhanced knowledge of in system integration, electrical and functional schemes, automation/software and Electro-Technical topics.You are passionate about problem solving, decision making and challenging environment.Degree in Naval/Electric/Electronic Engineering.You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.Availability to travel worldwide with a short pre-notice.
