Project Installation Engineer – Surveyor background Role Definition
You will contribute to the decarbonization of the economy working on the biggest offshore wind farm & interconnectors worldwide (France, USA, Italy, UK, Germany, and Netherlands).
We are actively looking to hire a Project Installation Engineer based in Milan for offshore projects in the Middle East area, with experience in surveys/BAS studies to cover the following:
Act as a technical interface with the client for document preparation. Act as technical point of contact for scopes of work within the project. Report to Installation Department outcome of meetings and technical discussions. Critically evaluate technical and contractual information. Analyze and understand customer technical challenges. Develop technical design solutions against client scope of work. Fully grasp all engineering challenges and effectively utilize engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges as they occur. Develop technical procedures associated with installing cables in the offshore marine environment. Ensure that the engineering technical solution provision is best in class and effective with respect to cost, quality, and safety. Engineering including preparation of method statements for the following activities: Burial assessment study (BAS). Survey works. Cable installation works. Pre-sweeping/dredging works. Mattress installation works. Trenching works. Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation. Qualification
Surveyor background is a mandatory requirement.
GIS software experience is a plus.
Italian and English are mandatory.
An advantage to having a Bachelor's or Master's Degrees in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjects.
