She/He is the Project Engineering Team Leader, co-operating with the Project Engineers on the specific projects' requirements. She/He supervises and coordinates all the engineering activities, ensuring the budget is adhered to, and controls that the contract's and execution activities' schedules are respected.
To prepare and discuss with the Project Director/Project Manager, the Proposal Manager, the Procurement Manager, the Construction Manager, and the Project Control Manager, with support from the Project Leader and the Head of Department, the project execution strategy (also during the proposal phase) and to guarantee its application throughout its entire life period.
To define and achieve, while coordinating and cooperating with the Project Leaders, the procedures, guidelines, and technical project standards.
To adopt technical solutions that optimize the project's costs in accordance with the contract's technical requirements.
To ensure the overall technical coordination system among the various engineering development project centers (other group subsidiaries, subcontractors, partners).
To manage, with the help of the Project Leaders and Project Engineers, the man-hours budget of the project's engineering activities.
To check and manage project amendments, focusing on minimizing project execution delays and costs.
To coordinate project design review meetings and participate in the project's definition schedule, involving the Project Leaders and ensuring total congruence and feasibility.
To provide technical support to the various Company Management Departments, both during the proposal phase and during the preparation of the necessary project documentation for job subcontracting and supplier assignments, as well as during job execution phases.
To guarantee the technical interface with the customer regarding all project-related issues that may arise, which can be significant in terms of project timing and costs.
As a Department member, the PEM responsibilities are:
To provide feedback to the Head of Department concerning the issues and problems arising from adopting procedures and standard work instructions, in order to improve effectiveness and efficiency in the Department. To promote the professional growth of other internal resources in his/her own Department or even in other Departments, also holding specific training courses when required, in accordance with his/her Department's demand. To compare and exchange experiences with his/her colleagues (PEM) among the Group Companies. To assist in the professional growth of resources in other Departments through specific training courses in accordance with his/her Department's demand. To stay updated on the developments and progressions in his/her own Department.
