As the Project Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the overall execution and coordination of all engineering tasks for a specific project with regard to quality, safety, cost, and time. You will lead a team of skilled engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of engineering principles.
Main responsibilities and Contents Ensuring efficient communication and collaboration in the project within engineering;Achieving the project engineering targets and milestones defined in the time schedule;Defining and checking measures in case of discrepancies (time, budget, scope, efficiency, etc.) in the project;Ensuring that engineering relevant HSE requirements and local regulations (e.g. environmental limits, product safety) have been considered and complied with;Reporting to the project manager on the status of coordination and decision-making regarding engineering tasks;Ensuring together with the Director of Engineering that the nominated personnel provide the overall technical quality, integrity, and adequacy of all design engineering work within the project budget and schedule;Ensuring required engineering meetings, reporting, and milestones are executed in time;Giving input for an integrated and comprehensive project schedule, resolving schedule-related engineering issues between the engineering disciplines, reviewing and analyzing schedule deviations during the project lifecycle, and establishing engineering recovery plans as required;Defining and coordinating the engineering application tools including the data transfers to be used;Assisting the technical risk assessment according to the rules applicable for the project risk management;Ensuring the product safety requirements related to the product design;Ensuring applicable codes, standards, and regulations are available;Coordinating the engineering deliverables, assuring that document control is used and defining the documentation and its format and structure to be followed by engineering, the customer, and third parties according to contractual requirements;Ensuring procurement support during the engineering phase, site support for the construction and commissioning phase (as required) including personnel assignment, interface definition, flow of information, and coordination of engineering activities on site;Developing and/or adapting the execution concept for the project together with line management and the project manager if required.Skills, qualifications and abilities The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
