About this opportunity
As a key interface between the data centre Delivery and Engineering teams, the Project Engineer will take part in the project management of the data centre construction project.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
Positively engaging with customers and developing, growing and maintaining customer relationships.
Coordinating between Delivery and Engineering and assisting with communication between the teams.
Understanding, clarifying and querying design outcomes and decisions and contributing to communications.
Supporting teams with the change management process through involvement in the preparation of change presentations and change order forms as needed.
Monitoring construction works, program and accomplishments against engineering documentation.
Providing support as technical liaison to assist with the coordination of general contractor, equipment supplier and other teams.
Assisting the delivery project team to plan, manage, monitor, and control engineering deliverables of the project from initiation to handover to meet project objectives.
Facilitating meetings and workshops as required with relevant stakeholders to support project delivery.
Providing regular and timely progress updates, progress reports.
Participating in routine site walks and facilitating virtual site walks with off-site client stakeholders.
Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

About You
Who we're looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
Experience in design and documentation management for large-scale construction projects.
Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills.
Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Professional level of English.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering.
