This position reports to Project Manager
Your role and responsibilities In this role, the Project Engineer coordinates assigned aspects of analytical projects and supports Project Managers in management and execution of the project. Executes work packages as assigned and supervised by a Project Manager. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid. You will be mainly accountable for:
Ensures compliance with standard ABB internal directives and procedure(s), relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
Conducts analysis of planned versus actual project performance under the supervision of the Project Manager or the Engineering Manager.
Prepares materials and assists in project reviews.
Issues, monitors, controls, and releases requests of orders (RDA) based on project specifications assuring timely and cost-effective project delivery. Communicates appropriate information to project stakeholders effectively.
Takes necessary actions (when appropriate and in collaboration with the Project/engineering management) to mitigate project HSE risks.
Defines and applies basic project planning techniques on ongoing projects and drives the updating process. Takes ownership of the assigned task and coordinates with related project members for planning and control requirements effectively.
Issues the project list and the relevant documentation directly or with the support of defined external resources, controls documentation accuracy and consistency based on tasks assigned by Project Manager according to the contractual requirements and procedures agreed with the customer.
Ensures the issuance of purchase orders and engineering on time, and expected costs in compliance with contractual obligations and assigned business objectives.
Qualifications for the role You are immersed in engineering rules, project techniques, processes, and tools with a strong focus on safe work practices and all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
You have at least 5 years of experience in process automation business, working with instrumentation and analyzers system solution is preferred.
You possess a high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
You have a collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong written and spoken communication skills.
Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or related careers.
You are at ease communicating in English and Italian.
