Fives ITAS is actively seeking a PROJECT ENGINEER to join its team in Monza (MB), Italy. We are currently looking for a PROJECT ENGINEER who will be responsible for:
Participation in internal project kick-off meetings to obtain technical contractual information for the development of the project. Review and application of client-side technical project specifications and applicable internal standards. Coordination of mechanical design related to O&G and Ecology applications interfacing with internal specialists (electro-instrumentation technicians) and external suppliers (structural engineers, piping specialists, and mechanical draftsmen). Main interface for project engineering with all internal company functions providing technical guidance in interpreting the project's technical requirements. Execution of detailed engineering according to project schedules and milestones including:
Creation and mechanization of project Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID). Coordination and preparation of main project documents including plant layout drawings, metallic structure drawings, piping supports, isometrics, and other construction tables from initial issuance to final client approval. Reviewing project progress by verifying and monitoring the 3D model of the plant and its main components/packages. Preparation of Material Requisitions. Review of construction drawings for fabrication in internal workshops and/or external suppliers (ISOS, structural fabrication drawings). Definition of the Bill Of Material (BOM) for the plant with relative coding and insertion into the company management system. Management and quality control of the engineering activities through application of checklists and internal review of executed activities. Participation in internal briefings related to assigned projects, interfacing with various departments involved: electro-instrumentation team, project manager, purchasing office, and workshop. Participation in technical alignment meetings with clients and/or supporting the preparation of offers as assigned to the dedicated office. Direct contact with suppliers for the definition and selection of main plant components (fans, steam boilers, silencers, SCR packages, scrubbers, quencher, etc.). Management of both local and international partner engineering suppliers (LC Engineering Center). Preparation of AS BUILT at project completion incorporating feedback from workshops or construction sites contributing to the continuous improvement of company processes. Management of engineering non-conformities with direct contribution to the preparation of corrective actions benefiting the entire team. You are the ideal candidate if you possess the following qualifications:
Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, chemical, energy, or industrial). Previous experience in the O&G sector and as a PE for at least 5 years. Ability to work independently and also in a team. Ability to multi-task while maintaining maximum punctuality in deliverables. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand technical documentation: construction drawings, plant diagrams, layouts. Knowledge of one or more software for visualization and navigation of 3D plant models. Knowledge of CAD 2D programs (AutoCAD). Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel. Good command of written and spoken English.
