Fives ITAS is actively looking for a PROJECT ENGINEER to join its team in Monza (MB), Italy. Responsibilities We are currently looking for a PROJECT ENGINEER who will be responsible for:
Participation in internal project kick-off meetings to acquire contractual technical information for project development; Review and application of client-side technical project specifications and applicable internal standards; Coordination of mechanical design of systems related to O&G and Ecology applications, interfacing with internal specialists (electro-instrumental technicians) and external suppliers (structural engineers, piping specialists, and mechanical draftsmen); Main engineering interface for the project with all internal business functions, providing technical guidance in interpreting technical project requirements; Execution of detailed engineering according to project scheduling and milestones, including: Creation and mechanization of Project Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs); Coordination and preparation of main project documents including plant layout drawings, metal structure drawings, piping supports, isometric drawings, and other construction drawings from initial issuance to final approval by the client; Review of project progress by verifying and monitoring the 3D model of the plant and its main components/packages; Preparation of Material Requisitions; Review of construction drawings for fabrication in the internal workshop and/or with external suppliers (ISOS, construction drawings of structural work); Definition of the Bill Of Material (BOM) for the plant with the relevant coding and insertion into the company management system; Management and control of the quality of project engineering activities through the application of checklists and internal reviews of the activities performed; Participation in internal briefings related to assigned projects, interfacing with the various departments involved: electro-instrumental team, Project manager, purchasing office, and workshop; Participation in technical alignment meetings with clients and/or support in preparing quotes for the dedicated office; Direct contact with suppliers for defining and selecting the main plant components (fans, steam boilers, silencers, SCR packages, scrubbers, quenches, etc.); Management of external engineering suppliers, both local and international partners (LC Engineering Center); Preparation of AS BUILT at the end of the contract, incorporating feedback from workshops or construction sites, contributing to the continuous improvement of company processes; Management of non-conformities related to engineering with direct contribution to preparing corrective actions to benefit the entire team. Requirements You are the ideal candidate if you possess the following:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, chemical, energy, or industrial); Previous experience in the O&G sector and as a Project Engineer for at least 5 years; Ability to work independently and in a team; Ability to multitask while maintaining punctuality in deliverables; Analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to understand technical documentation: construction drawings, system diagrams, layouts; Knowledge of one or more 3D plant modeling visualization software; Knowledge of 2D CAD programs (AutoCAD); Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel; Good proficiency in written and spoken English.
