The Project Director will be committed to increasing efficiencies, improving communications, and assembling reliable information for our owners, industry partners, and Hilton.The role will be based in Greece or Italy and will be responsible for projects in this region, requiring extensive travel. Key responsibilities will include:Management of design for projects within Greece and Italy, including new developments, conversions, and renovations of existing hotels.Implementing plans to ensure the overall strategic direction of project management standards is consistent and supported by other areas.Identifying resources, overseeing activities, and conferring with key stakeholders to ensure objectives of project management standards are accomplished.Managing cross-functional links to other Architecture, Design, and Construction departments in Europe, North Africa, and globally.Implementing business metrics to ensure the effectiveness of project management standards.Directing development and administration of project management standards.Conducting effective management of third parties, identifying vendors, and monitoring costs and quality of service.Assisting the Vice President or designated Senior Director with developing, implementing, and maintaining a commercial development management strategy.Assessing actual performance to ensure success and taking corrective actions.Ensuring project management standards work effectively across cultures and markets.Working within approved budgets and adjusting activities and expenses to ensure optimal financial results.Development ManagementResponsibilities include:Assisting in the development and ongoing management of in-house project management and reporting tools.Liaising with other Hilton Development Management departments to ensure best practices are shared globally.Preparing Project Briefs and Area Programmes as required.Reviewing architectural, engineering, and fit-out documents at all stages of the design and construction journey.Working effectively with developers, owners, and project design consultants.Liaising with the in-house Development Department and Brand Teams to secure new Projects.Making technical design and construction recommendations.Providing project leadership on behalf of Hilton and acting as the main liaison between in-house specialists and outside Developers.Conducting regular site inspections of the Project works in progress.Supervising outside consultants during the course of any Project works.Overseeing snagging/punch out inspections and production of snagging/punch lists.Inspecting works and preparing all necessary project handover information.Property Improvement Plan (PIP) ManagementResponsibilities include:Undertaking property inspections for acquisition or conversion into a Hilton Brand.Providing project leadership and acting as the main liaison for PIP execution.Monitoring the execution and completion of the PIP.Traveling to hotel locations and conducting necessary meetings.What are we looking for?Applicants will ideally have fluent Greek language skills, as well as Italian and English. You will have a professional construction management background with significant experience in hotel/hospitality project management, including the following skills/experience:Ability to read and understand drawings, Design and Construction Standards.Ability to report on architectural and engineering construction documents.Excellent general knowledge of design and construction materials and methods.Knowledge of hotel operating contracts and models.Ability to work independently and lead a project team.Ability to analyse departmental financial data.Strong problem-solving skills.Budget development and management skills.Experience dealing with developers, Owners, and other corporate clients.Required qualificationsUniversity degree in engineering, architecture, or construction-related discipline.Recognised professional qualification in construction-related discipline.Significant work experience of 15 years or more in property, engineering design, and/or construction-related roles.Significant hotel development and construction-related experience.Experience working in multi-cultural or international settings.Understanding of local building codes and European and International Fire Life Safety codes.Preferred qualificationsIn-depth knowledge of construction projects and track record of successful project delivery.Supervisory experience.Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and construction project programming.Understanding of AutoCAD software. #J-18808-Ljbffr
