They have already started international expansion into Germany with the creation of corporate entities and development kick-off on a sizeable greenfield pipeline, with plans to enter into 1-2 additional EU growth markets in the medium term. They are backed by a long-standing energy group with +400 mEUR annual turnover.
The Role:The Project Development Manager will take a central role in driving the development of the company's pipeline of Energy Storage projects across different phases from early origination, to detailed design and all the way to RTB. In particular:
Drive progress on the projects by leading and coordinating all internal and external workstreams primarily with technical, design and engineering specialists;
Take ownership of the project timeline and deadlines;
Proactively and professionally manage relationships with external stakeholders, i.e. landowners, development partners, public entities (state, regional and local), legal & technical advisors, etc.;
Take ownership of interactions with the TSO Terna and all related stakeholders in shared grid connection agreements;
Review and verify administrative and technical project permitting documentation for completeness, format, and compliance with requirements;
Significantly contribute to strategic decisions regarding the project pipeline;
Keep fully informed on key market developments and industry news/events in order to quickly identify business risks and opportunities.
Requirements:Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the Renewables or Energy sector with exposure to development or project management activities;
Background in similar Renewable energy development or investment platforms, utilities or engineering companies;
Good understanding of the overall development process for Renewable or similar projects in Italy;
Prior experience in Energy storage is a plus, but not a requirement. The rest of the team will provide the specific required training and knowledge;
Communicates clearly, effectively, to-the-point;
Confidence and ability to interact authoritatively with all levels of stakeholders;
Sense of ownership to deliver results;
Attention to detail and organisational skills;
Availability for potentially frequent short-term travel within the national territory.
